Production has begun on the fourth ‘Thor’ film, and Mr. Thunder himself has shared a quick snap of the first day.
The next phase of everyone’s favorite Norse God has begun! Chris Hemsworth, Mr. Thunder himself, shared a snap from the first day of shooting on Thor: Love and Thunder, and it’s positively tribal. Along with the image, Hemsworth explains, “A beautiful start to our shoot today with a Welcome to the Country ceremony from the Gamay dancers of the Gadigal and Bidiagal Nation and performance and karakia by Maori dancers from Te Aranganui.”
Principle shooting for the film is taking place in Australia, and it seems the cast and crew got a very warm welcome. The Instagram image also features director Taika Waititi, with Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson notably (and regrettably!) absent.
Any sneak peeks are more than welcome for any Hemsworth film; the fourth Thor installment will reportedly feature a crossover with Guardians of the Galaxy. We’re hoping the next teaser shows some of that dynamic; more specifically, how Starlord’s ego grapples with Thor, the pirate/angel hybrid (according to Drax, of course).
Thor: Love and Thunder is slated for a May 6, 2022 release.
