Chris Bernier Joins MPC NY

Chris Bernier joins MPC NY as VFX Supervisor and CG Lead.

A welcome addition to the MPC family, Chris Bernier has joined as VFX Supervisor and CG Lead. “We are delighted that Chris has joined our growing team,” says NY Executive Producer Justin Brukman, continuing, “Chris is an immense creative talent as demonstrated by his impressive reel.  We’re looking forward to him taking the lead on a number projects – both our creative and production teams are thrilled to have him on board.

Bernier has already developed a substantial body of work in his career thus far, having worked with such big-name brands as GE, Cheetos, SNL, Pepsi, IBM and more. Recently, he worked as CG Lead on spots for Coca-Cola, Norfolk Southern, Nintendo, Dawn and Gillette, and this year’s Milk campaign ad that ran during the 2013 Super Bowl. His work on the Norfolk Southern spot earned him a VES Nomination, giving even more credence to Bernier’s ability and prowess. Says Bernier, “What makes MPC a good fit for me is their “family” structure. It has nice combination of the unique personality of a smaller VFX house – its own creative perspective and voice where collaboration and input between all artists is essential – combined with the backbone, resources, and knowledge of a global company reaching all the way to the biggest current film projects.”

Having obtained his BFA in Computer Graphics from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, Bernier fast-tracked his way through freelance CG work at Curious Pictures, followed by QuietMan, after which he went to work at The Mill as Senior 3D Lead Artist and VFX Supervisor until earlier this year. Now as a member of MPC’s creative team, Bernier brings with him a substantial skillset to aide MPC in continuing their fantastic and acclaimed work.
