Los Angeles, CA -- Presenters have been announced for the award ceremony at the World Animation & VFX Summit Opening Night Party on Sunday, November 3, at the California Yacht Club in Marina del Rey, CA.
Academy Award-nominated actress Catherine Keener (the voice of “Ugga” in The Croods) will present Chris Sanders and Kirk DeMicco with the Original Vision Award; Academy Award-winning Producer Jon Landau (Titanic, Avatar) will present Industrial Light & Magic’s CCO John Knoll with the Lifetime Achievement-Hall of Fame Award; Executive Producer Tiffany Ward (Mr. Peabody & Sherman) will present Hollywood voice icon June Foray with the Lifetime Achievement-Hall of Fame Award; President and CEO of animation software powerhouse Toon Boom Joan Vogelesang will present DQ Entertainment CEO Tapaas Chakravarti with the Lifetime Achievement-Hall of Fame Award; and actor Donald Faison (the voice of “Mumm-Ra” in Robot Chicken) will present Stoopid Buddy Stoodios with the Breakout Studio Award. Acclaimed voice actor Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) will emcee the awards presentation.
The World Animation & VFX Summit takes place November 3-6. The event will feature panels, discussion and networking with a global array of high-level animation and visual effects professionals, who are creating new business models in animation, visual effects, distribution and financing.
