Cartoons on the Bay Issues Final Call for Submissions

Deadline to submit animated features, shorts, TV series and transmedia projects for the Pulcinella and Pitch Me! competitions is February 28, 2017.

The deadline for submissions to Italy’s international cross-media animation and children’s television festival, Cartoon on the Bay, is rapidly approaching. Featuring three days of screenings, workshops and competitions, the 21st edition of Cartoons on the Bay will be held in Turin, Italy April 6-8, 2017.

Founded in 1996 as a showcase for Italian animation, Cartoons on the Bay has since become an important international event for the animation industry. Organized by RAI Publishing, the festival’s purpose is to promote the activities of writers and producers from around the world, providing an opportunity to meet with buyers, distributors and television producers.

This year, festival organizers have announced a new competition category for the prestigious Pulcinella Awards: Animated Feature Films. Additional categories for the Pulcinella Awards and Pitch Me! competition are TV series Preschool, TV series Kids, TV series Teens, TV series Live Action/Hybrids, TV series Pilots, Interactive Media and Short Films.
