Cartoon Forum Announces Tribute Nominations

France and the UK lead the nominations for the Cartoon Tributes for animated TV series at Cartoon Forum 2013, the pitching and co-production event for animated TV series taking place September 17-20 in Toulouse, France.

Fifteen companies from all over Europe will share the spotlight at the upcoming presentation of the Cartoon Tributes, which honors broadcasters, investor/distributor and producers that have particularly contributed to the development of TV animation.

With five and four finalists respectively, France and the UK lead the nominations, followed by Germany and Belgium with two nominees each, and Italy and Lithuania. The winners will be selected by 850 animation professionals from 33 countries attending the 24th edition of Cartoon Forum.

The Producer of the Year category features some of the most creative studios in Europe, including France’s 2 Minutes and Ellipsanime Productions, UK’s Spider Eye and Tiger Aspect Productions and Grid Animation from Belgium.
