Canadian Teletoon To Air Remaining Boondocks Episodes

The Detour on Teletoon, the evening programming block on Teletoon for teens and adults, announced they will air two episodes from the second season of edgy and satirical comedy THE BOONDOCKS.

The final two episodes, "The Huey Freeman Hunger Strike" and "The Ruckus Reality Show" were pulled from Cartoon Network's Adult Swim schedule earlier this year, with representatives saying they had no plans to air them.

The Detour has been broadcasting episodes from season two since November 2007, and will air the final two on March 16 and March 23, respectively.

Created by Aaron McGruder and based on his award-winning comic strip of the same name, THE BOONDOCKS, follows Huey and Riley, two young brothers who live in the Chicago suburbs with their grandfather.

The political actions of 10 year-old Huey however, prevent his granddad from getting the quiet retirement he strives for.

THE BOONDOCKS first aired on The Detour on February 24, 2006 and stars Regina King and John Witherspoon.

Teletoon is available in both English and French in 7.2 million Canadian homes.
