Submissions now being accepted for the UK’s largest animation festival, taking place November 15 -19; entry deadline is July 13, 2020.
The Manchester Animation Festival, the largest animation festival in the UK, will run this year from November 15 – 19. The event unites artists, practitioners, students and enthusiasts to enjoy the many and varied achievements of the animated art form.
The 2020 call for entries is now open: films can be submitted in the following categories:
- Short Films: Films not made by a student or person under the age of 16.
- Student Films: Films created by undergraduate and post-graduate students.
- Commissioned Films: Can be educational or scientific films, music videos or for advertising/promotional purposes. Commissioned films must have the permission of the rights owner before submission.
- Immersive Films: Films that abandon traditional screening conditions and opt for an immersive format, this could be VR (interactive and non-interactive), AR or 360° films.
All films must have been completed after July 27, 2019 and the deadline for all entries is July 31, 2020. All animation techniques are eligible.
