Call For Entries: Black Sea '24 Animation Workshop

10 selected project creators from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey and Georgia will be invited to attend a 5-day workshop in Tbilisi, Georgia November 26–30, with 5 workshopped projects selected for presentation at the MIFA market in June 2025; submission deadline is October 6.

The Annecy International Animated Film Festival, Georgian Animators Association Saqanima and Film Studio Kvali, with the support of Institut Français de Géorgie, and Georgian National Film Center, have announced a call for entries for the Black Sea '24 Animation Workshop.

This year’s eligible countries include Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, and Georgia. Submission deadline is October 6, 2024.

International experts will select 10 animated short projects (two per country). The selected project creators get to attend a 5-day workshop (working language English) in Tbilisi, Georgia from November 26–30. Annecy Festival’s Edwina Liard (IKKIFILMS) and Olivier Catherin (France) will run the workshop.

Annecy Festival experts will select five workshop projects to present at the MIFA market in June 2025. The Georgian National Film Center provides travel expenses for the Georgian participant with accreditation provided by the Annecy Festival.

Projects from Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Turkey, and Georgia (except Russia) are eligible for submission. Creators/animators/filmmakers must submit a complete digital file before the October 6 deadline.
