Call For Entries: ASIFA India and Epic Games' Women Creators Program 2022

Submissions now being accepted through April 18 for paid virtual fellowships for women creatives from India, Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia; participants will be mentored and trained in virtual production.

Epic Games and ASIFA India have launched “Women Creators Program Batch-2,” a paid virtual fellowship for women storytellers, producers, VFX supervisors and VFX artists, animators, storyboard artists with over 5 years industry experience. The program is funded in two parts: Previs and Final Submission. Creators will be paid $5,000 USD for the submission of their project.

The fellowship runs from May 2022 to July 2022 with an application deadline of April 18.

The initiative’s goal is to inspire and empower women creators in the animation communities of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia by opening doors to international opportunities via the Women Creators Program 2022.

The program introduces participants to virtual production, its applications, and workflows, with mentoring and training provided by Unreal expert trainers and industry leaders. Topics will include the Unreal Pipeline, Animation and DCC workflows, world-building and terrain tools, lighting and post-processing, material editor, sequence, Livelink, and blueprint.

Program Timeline:

  • April 18 – Application Deadline
  • May 3 - Official Selection Announcement
  • May 16 - Program and training begins
  • May 27 - Pitch submission / Shot blocking
  • June 28 - Final submission
