The 36th edition of the Guadalajara Film Festival (FICG) is now accepting submissions. The event which, showcases and promotes Mexican and Ibero-American cinema, is a forum for training, instruction, and creative exchange between professionals, fans, and students from Latin America. The event will be held October 1-9.
Films will be accepted in the following categories:
Official Competition - Animation Sections
International Animation Feature Film
International Animation feature films in any technique finalized in 2020-2021, that will have their Mexican Premiere during FICG. The minimum length to participate is 60 minutes, credit roll included.
Award:
Best Animation Feature Film: Mayahuel Award and 500,000 Mexican pesos, granted to the production company.
Rigo Mora Award
International animation short films in any technique finalized in 2020-2021, that will have their Mexican Premiere during FICG. The maximum length to participate is 30 minutes, credit roll included.
Award:
Best Animated Short Film: Rigo Mora Award and 200,000 Mexican pesos, granted to the director.
The submissions are free of charge – deadline is May 28, 18:00 hrs. (Mexico time -6 GMT).
