Top local rapper / songwriter Gabriel O Pensador, has leant his voice for the Brazilian launch of hip-hop themed contemporary claymation series Clay Kids, aimed at 6-11 year olds. The urban stop-motion animation series is produced by Clay Animation in co-production with TVE Spain, and internationally distributed by CAKE.

Music driven, fun and fast-paced, the series follows seven quirky kids dealing with all the trials and tribulations of life as they know it - teachers, parents and each other. Gabriel will be voicing the lead character of Flippy, one half of a dynamic hip-hop duo with his best friend Motor. Original music is a natural background to the action and in some episodes drives the story.

The series premiered on Globosat’s kid-skewed channel Gloob, Saturday 29th June.

Visual and verbal jokes, animated action and original music combine with an irreverent tone to make a fresh and imaginative series that will appeal to adults as well as children, and is not to be missed.

Edward Galton, CCO & Managing Director, CAKE, “It’s great to see Gloob giving this much attention to the local launch and it gives us great confidence in the show and in it’s future.”

Gabriel O Pensador, “I am enjoying a lot to be a part of Gloob and I believe that there is always space for education and culture in entertainment. I loved Clay Kids’ style with its really cool stop-motion technique, which was one of the reasons that led me to accepting the invitation.”

Paulo Marinho, Director, Gloob, “Clay Kids has all the qualities that we like to foster in Gloob´s programming. The characters are contemporary, modern and they represent the differences children encounter in their daily lives in a light and fun way.”
