CAKE Announces New Deals in Eastern Europe

CAKE signs new deals in Eastern Europe for Poppy Cat, Plankton Invasion, and more.

As CAKE once again visits the annual Natpe Budapest market announced recent deals across Eastern Europe. CAKE has always had a strong presence throughout Central and Eastern Europe and continues to expand their reach as well as their ongoing relationship with European broadcasters.

Czech Televise has picked up the brand new second season of our popular live action series, The Sparticle Mystery, as has TV3 Lithuania and Megamax have licensed a multi territory deal. Continuing the action packed adventures of the Sparticles on their quest for answers this smart and funny series is aimed at 6 - 9 years.

Pay TV channel Minimax has licensed the endearing preschool show Poppy Cat, in Hungary, ex-Yugoslavia, Slovakia and Czech Republic. And following on from its continuing success on Minimini Poland, Poppy Cat will be released on DVD through distributor MSZ.

Another CAKE title that has been a big hit in Poland is our Halloween holiday special. Instead of waiting for Santa, Sam decides to write to Dracula, with surprising and hilarious results! Dear Dracula will soon be available on DVD through S.D.T.

Plankton Invasion has conquered pay TV channel Megamax, plus Czech Televise and QTV Ukraine. While also in Ukraine, kids channel Pixel have taken on Aesop’s Theater and the long running four season Total Drama franchise, an animated reality TV parody, has been acquired by free TV Kanal Ukrainia.
