Brown Bag Films Releases ‘Bird Food’ Short Online

Written and directed by Richard Keane and produced by Laura Roche with music by Darren Hendley, ‘Bird Food’ was commissioned by BSÉ/IFB Short Shorts.

Brown Bag Films has released their new short film, Bird Food, online on the Irish animation studio’s YouTube channel.

Bird Food is a feast for the eyes that chews at the funny bone. On a lovely summer’s day, a business man contentedly sits down to eat his lunch in the park. He gives a piece of his delicious sandwich to a couple of the local pigeons, but once they get a taste they want more. Their numbers grow and soon the pigeons become relentless in their quest for nourishment. The man is left to fight with all his might to fend them off and reclaim his lunch. He has whetted their appetite and now they want the entire feast, including the dessert!

Bird Food made its premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2012 and it has since been shown in over 40 festivals around the world. Bird Food was highly commended for Technical Excellence at Exeter Animation Festival 2013 and was a finalist in the Audience Award (Ages 12-18) for Best Short Film at New York International Children’s Film Festival.
