Burnaby, B.C. -- Bron Studios, an award-winning producer of original live-action and animated motion pictures and series television, is expanding its production facilities in Duncan, on Vancouver Island, BC. The new state-of-the-art studio will serve its production needs on Henchmen, the company’s first full-length animated feature film, as well as other film and television productions in development.

As previously announced, Henchmen features the voice talent of some of today’s top stars including James Marsden, Thomas Middleditch, Rosario Dawson, Alfred Molina, Nathan Fillion, Jane Krakowski, Rob Riggle, Craig Robinson and Will Sasso. Bobcat Goldthwait has also recently joined the cast as the Jackalope. Marsden plays a fallen henchman in a world of super-villains who must find his inner hero to rescue a new recruit (Middleditch) and win the girl (Dawson).

Recent winners of a 2015 Leo Award for Best Animation Program or Series for its third Mighty Mighty Monsters special, Bron Studios is in full-swing on the production of Henchmen at its headquarters in Burnaby, BC. A number of positions are open to qualified candidates including lighters, FX artists, technical animators and character riggers with recruitment for the Duncan studio focused on animation.

“We’re really excited about establishing a vibrant animation community outside the lower mainland,” said Bron Studios co-founder Brenda Gilbert. “The studio in Duncan allows us to make the most of the incredibly supportive tax credits while offering artists the opportunity to live and work in a truly beautiful place.”

Bron Studios in Duncan is managed by VP Production Luke Carroll, who is producing Henchmen, alongside Bron’s Managing Director Aaron L. Gilbert. Carroll previously produced The Weinstein Company’s animated feature film Escape from Planet Earth. Henchmen is being written and directed by Adam Wood, a former CG animator with Pixar (Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc.) as well as Animation Director on Escape from Planet Earth and Space Chimps.
