Breakthrough Ent. Appoints New Distribution VP

Industry veteran Craig McGillivray rejoins Toronto-based production and distribution company in a senior-level role focused on international sales and programming acquisitions.

 

Craig McGillivrayToronto, Canada -- Breakthrough Entertainment has appointed Craig McGillivray to the position of Vice President, Distribution, it was announced by Nat Abraham, Partner and President of Distribution.  Based in Breakthrough Entertainment’s Toronto headquarters, McGillivray will serve in a senior-level role in both international sales as well as programming acquisitions. 

McGillivray joins Breakthrough Entertainment from Peacock Alley Entertainment, an international production house and distributor where he served as Vice President, Distribution.  He previously worked with DHX Media as Territory Manager handling program sales for Asia, Australia, Latin America, and Canada.  Previous to DHX, McGillivray served with Breakthrough Entertainment as Sales Executive, where he handled sales to Eastern and Central Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America and Canada.  He began his career in television distribution and programming at Ironstar Communications, Inc, the television programming sales and distribution company founded by his father, Derek McGillivray.  McGillivray earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of Western Ontario.  While previously attending Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville Alabama, McGillivray was recruited by the Atlanta Braves Major League baseball team after playing NCAA Division 1 Baseball for the Gamecocks.
