BRB Secures Partners For The Invisible Man And Sales For Nico

Spanish-based animation company BRB Internacional has secured two major European co-production partners for THE INVISIBLE MAN (26 x half hours). Italian state broadcaster RAI and French animation house Dargaud Marina are teaming up with BRB Internacional to co-produce the unique series, which is aimed at 8-12 year olds. The deal gives RAI exclusive Italian speaking rights, Dargaud Marina exclusive French speaking rights, plus some other distribution territories, with BRB Internacional and Dargaud Marina handling distribution for the rest of the world. Combining action, adventure, love and humor, THE INVISIBLE MAN stars the super handsome Alan Crystal a hero the world has never seen before. Production is due to start in early 2002 with delivery of the first 13 episodes scheduled for fall 2002. Other deals signed recently by BRB Internacional include SNAILYMPICS series II, produced by Spanish independent La Truca, licensed to Nickelodeon U.K. and Zebra Hop, Israels new pre-school channel. These deals are significant for BRB, reflecting the companys increased involvement in handling international distribution for third party productions. BRB has also signed a slew of deals at MIPCOM for NICO, a BRB, TVE (Spain) and La Once (Spain) co-production. The 26-part animated series, which is to premiere on TVE in December 2001, has been licensed to RTP (Portugal), Televisa (Mexico) and EBS (Korea).
