Company founder takes on new role as the company experiences continued growth in professional workstation technology, AI systems and cloud computing.
BOXX, a leading innovator of high-performance computer workstations, rendering systems, and servers has named company founder Tim Lawrence Chief Technical Officer, a promotion from his previous position of Vice President of Engineering and Operations.

Lawrence originally founded BOXX in Phoenix, Arizona as Cooperative PCs in 1996. In 1998 he renamed BOXX Technologies and relocated the company to Austin, Texas. In its early years, BOXX focused on the film and gaming industries’ demand for visual effects and animation hardware. The company, guided by Lawrence, has evolved to serve the growing need for high performance computing to accelerate demanding 3D software throughout multiple industries.
Boxx is known for designing and manufacturing APEXX workstations purpose-built for media and entertainment (M&E), manufacturing and product design (MPD), and architecture, engineering & construction (AEC).
