Bob And Margaret, Gary & Mike Nominated For Rose D’Or

Episodes of BOB AND MARGARET and GARY & MIKE have been nominated for the prestigious Rose DOr, an annual international television festival and competition held in Montreux, Switzerland, open to more than 2000 producers and broadcasters from around the world. This years festival will be held April 26 May 1, 2001. Of this years 16 nominees in the Sitcom category, two animated series were selected, including UPNs GARY & MIKE, produced at Will Vinton Studios, and an episode from David Fine and Alison Snowdens BOB AND MARGARET titled Going Dutch. From BOB AND MARGARETs second season, Going Dutch was written Sally Phillips, story edited by David Fine and Alison Snowden and co-directed by Fine, Snowden and Karen Lessman. The series is produced at Nelvana. According to Fine, This is mostly a live-action television festival, and its rare to have animation competing against shows like FRASIER. GARY & MIKE premiered in January of this year and was created by live-action gross out comedy veterans Fax Bahr and Adam Small. Featuring the voices of Christopher Moynihan and Harland Williams, the series follows the adventures of two slackers out on the open American road. It is the first show produced at Will Vinton using solely digital cameras, allowing for easy integration with digital backgrounds and a greater range of characters per episode.
