Big Stage Continues Growth with Executive Team Hire

Big Stage Ent., a media technology company that lets consumers project themselves photo-realistically into the digital realm, has named digital media industry veteran Patrick Barry to the role of vice president, content alliances. In this newly created role, Barry will focus on growing partnerships with media and entertainment companies interested in developing both new digital revenue opportunities and deep consumer engagement.

Big Stage Ent.'s scalable product offerings enable any third party to offer a consumer experience that features an animated, 3-D likeness of a user to enhance everything from entertainment to communications and retail. Big Stage Entertainment offers its proprietary PortableYou 3-D facial modeling system to third parties for seamless integration into video games, virtual worlds, Web sites, mobile apps, kiosk-based systems and more. The BackStage white label product offers a turnkey solution to partners that want to leverage the same 3-D face modeling technology as part of high-impact participatory experiences under their own brands, with the added benefit of easy to use social share tools to maximize viral effect.

Barry joined Big Stage Ent. after serving as senior director of corporate development and strategy for the North America media and entertainment unit at SK Telecom. He previously held senior new media roles in digital distribution, licensing and syndication for brands including American Idol and Speed Racer, and served as vice president of business development at Brilliant Digital, a Web animation firm. After working in new media marketing and market development positions at Warner Advanced Media Operations, Barry oversaw content acquisition and program syndication for one of Warner Bros. first dedicated online networks with original programming. Barry also worked at Intel Corporation before moving into the media and entertainment industry.

He holds a Masters in Management (Technology/Entertainment) from Pepperdine University and Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Berkeley.
