Company will have first right to animate and executive produce any projects that go to series.
Bento Box Entertainment has signed a nonexclusive deal with Comedy Central to develop and produce short-form animated content for digital platforms, Deadline reports.
Bento Box creative director Ben Jones will oversee the projects, which will feature talent Comedy Central is interested in developing. The projects will appear on platforms like YouTube and Facebook Watch.
If one of the projects becomes a linear series, Bento Box will have dibs on animating and executive producing the series.
Bento Box’s animation credits include the Fox hit series Bob’s Burgers, as well as Comedy Central series Brickleberry and Legends of Chamberlain Heights.
