Netflix drops the Official Trailer, additional voice cast, and new image set from Part 1 of Mattel TV’s upcoming epic animated series about a heroic barbarian trying to do right, and inquiring minds want to know: ‘Will the Guardians of Grayskull save Eternia and the Fate of the Entire Universe?’
He-Man, Skeletor, and a fractured Eternia return to enrich our lives July 23 in the five-episode Part 1 of Netflix’s epic, long-awaited, 2D animated series premiere of Masters of the Universe: Revelation. And who doesn’t love green cats?
It’s been a mere 40 years (give or take) since we got our first taste of Mattel’s epic tale of warrior goddesses, savage henchmen, cosmic enforcers, lords of destruction, allies and enemies, all centered around a heroic barbarian with a magic sword, trying to do right. Helmed by filmmaker, pop culture maven, and series’ showrunner/EP Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy), Masters of the Universe: Revelation is sure to re-energize our firm, if not a tad antiquated resolve that the fierce combination of chiseled muscle and glistening steel can solve all problems.
In Part 1, after a cataclysmic battle between He-Man and Skeletor, Eternia is fractured and the Guardians of Grayskull are scattered. After decades of secrets tore them apart, it’s up to Teela to reunite the broken band of heroes and solve the mystery of the missing Sword of Power in a race against time to restore Eternia and prevent the end of the universe.
Now sit back and “Behold the Power of Greyskull!” And also “Behold the Lord of Destruction!”

Joining the cast are Dennis Haysbert as King Grayskull, Adam Gifford as Vikor, and Jay Tavare as Wundar.
