Becky&Joe Release ‘Don’t Hug Me 3’

U.K. animation duo Becky&Joe release the third installment of their ‘Don’t Hug Me, I’m Scared’ series.

Just in time for Halloween, U.K. animation duo Becky&Joe have released the third installment of their Don’t Hug Me, I’m Scared series. The short film, which employs both puppets and traditional 2D animation, is a meditation on the nature of love:

Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared 3 is the follow-up to 2011’s Don’t Hug Me, I'm Scared, the video that taught puppet characters about creativity using glitter, internal organs and a talking notepad, and this year's Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared 2 - Time, which introduced Tony the Talking Clock, a lanky character who teaches the puppets of the about the concept of time.

Becky&Joe are Kingston University grads Becky Sloan and Joseph Pelling. Having met while students, the duo started the artists collective THIS IS IT with some friends, which allowed them to work on a variety of projects and hone their talents as animators. In addition to the Don’t Hug Me series, they've made music videos for Tame Impala and Unknown Mortal Orchestra and designed window displays for Selfridges.
