‘Bartender’ 15th Anniversary Collector’s Edition Coming this January

Cult-favorite anime anthology’s North American Blu-ray debut features all 11 episodes and bonus content.

To those of us who enjoy the occasional fine adult beverage, we know that every drink has a story, and every story has a drink to accompany it. Which brings us to Bartender. Hidden in the Ginza district’s back alleys in Tokyo, we find Eden Hall, an intimate bar run by Ryuu Sasakura, the bartender prodigy known to mix the most incredible cocktails anyone has ever tasted. Throughout his period at Eden Hall, customers from all walks of life, carrying all sorts of burdens, arrive for a godly glass at the Hall and a kind word with Ryu, both of which assist in clearing their problems up and reviving them for another go at life. However, not anyone can find Eden Hall, but it must find you! And therein lies the story…

Bartender, the anime series based on the best-selling Japanese manga of the same name by Araki Joh and illustrated by Kenji Nagatomo, is a charming and heartfelt anthology series that brims with captivating slice-of-life narratives and scrumptious-looking anime. This acclaimed series was directed by Masaki Watanabe (Battle Spirits, Bakumatsu, KADO – The Right Answer), written by Yasuhiro Imagawa (Giant Robo the Animation) and produced by Palm Studios. Since its initial debut in 2006, Bartender has gained developed a worldwide cult following.

Celebrating the series’ 15^th Anniversary, Shout! Factory, in collaboration with Anime Limited, is releasing Bartender 15th Anniversary Collector’s Edition on national home entertainment shelves and digital on January 19, 2021. Debuting for the first time on Blu-ray in North America, Bartender 15th Anniversary Collector’s Edition comes housed in an elegant home entertainment packaging containing all 11 episodes of the series plus bonus content in a two-disc Blu-ray set, as well as nine cocktail recipe cards and four collectible coasters.
