Barbie returns to the small screen in her new original princess fairytale and 3D enhanced animation film, BARBIE AND THE MAGIC OF PEGASUS. This fall, Barbie stars as Princess Annika, and brings to life a never-before-seen fairytale set amidst the fluffy clouds of the Magical Cloud Kingdom. In addition to the animated movie, Mattel will introduce a line of branded princess dolls, winged horses and playsets.
We know girls ages three to seven years love to play princess and dream of far away lands, and were excited to present a fresh, original fairytale that girls can enjoy with Barbie, said Russell Arons, vp, Mattel. The Mattel Ent. team includes some of Hollywoods most gifted screenwriters, and weve brought fantasy, adventure, romance and magic to life in this imaginative and enchanting tale. We think girls will especially love the twist of experiencing this films special 3D enhanced features.
The film will include new characters Brietta the Pegasus, a magical flying horse; Rayla the Cloud Queen, the kind and gentle ruler of the Magical Cloud Kingdom; Cloud Princess Kelly, the tiny princess who paints the sunset; and Prince Aidan, the rugged, handsome love interest of Barbie dolls character Princess Annika.
