BAFTA Nominates ‘Coco,’ ‘Vincent,’ ‘Zucchini’

British Academy also picks five VFX nominees and nominates three homegrown candidates for the British Short Animation category.

LONDON -- Coco, Loving Vincent and My Life as a Zucchini have been nominated for the Best Animated Film category in the 2018 EE British Academy Film Awards.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts also nominated three films in the Best British Short Animation and five films in the Special Visual Effects category.

The hybrid animated-live action feature Paddington 2 was nominated for the Outstanding British Film and Adapted Screenplay awards.

The nominations were announced by Natalie Dormer and Letitia Wright at BAFTA’s London headquarters.

The EE British Academy Film Awards take place Feb. 18 at the Royal Albert Hall in London and will be hosted by actress Joanna Lumley.
