Iconic Events Releasing and Bandai/Namco have teamed to add several new titles to the 2024/2025 AX Cinema Nights lineup, including ‘Mobile Suit Gundam,’ ‘Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow,’ ‘Mobile Suite Gundam III: Encounters in Space,’ and ‘Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack,’ set to run October - April 2025.
Iconic Events Releasing, a distribution company specializing in limited engagement theatrical events, has partnered with Bandai/Namco to add several new titles to the 2024/2025 AX Cinema Nights lineup, including Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow, Mobile Suite Gundam III: Encounters in Space, and Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack. These immersive, experiential community screenings will run October - April 2025. The Mobile Suit Gundam films will be presented with English subtitles and original Japanese dialogue tracks.

Mobile Suit Gundam – October 2 (sub), October 6 (encore screening)
In Universal Century year 0078, the space colony Side 3 declares itself the Principality of Zeon and launches a war of independence against the Earth Federation. Eight months have passed since the war entered a deadlock. A young boy Amuro ends up piloting the mobile suit Gundam and defeating the enemy.
Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow – October 16 (sub), October 20 (encore screening)
With evacuees from Side 7 onboard, the White Base crosses the Pacific Ocean and heads west towards the continent of Eurasia. Amidst that journey filled with battle, Amuro has a fight with Bright and runs away, suffering from the deaths of Matilda, who he had feelings for, and Ryu, who was like a big brother to him. It’s then that Char appears and clashes in the battle surrounding the Earth Federation Headquarters of Jaburo.
Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space - October 23 (sub), October 27 (encore screening)
Having officially been inducted into the Federation Forces as the 13th Independent Unit, the White Base enters the neutral colony Side 6 to serve as a decoy. There Amuro reunites with his father Tem, and meets a mysterious girl named Lalah Sune. The chance encounter between Amuro and Lalah leads the pair to tragedy.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack - March 12 (sub), March 16 (encore screening)
In Universal Century 0093, Char Aznable has revived Neo Zeon and declared war against the Earth Federation government. Among the Londo Bell members is Amuro Ray, Char's longtime rival. But their valiant efforts are in vain as 5th Luna falls onto the planet.
The latest AX Cinema Nights series will be shown in more than 500 theatres across North America.
