Afternoon gathering at The Animation Guild in Burbank will include a panel on animation employment and review of the group’s activities in 2017.
ASIFA-Hollywood’s Animation Educators Forum will hold its general membership meeting May 5 at The Animation Guild in Burbank from noon to 5 p.m. The meeting will feature a full afternoon of discussions and screenings, along with an opportunity for members to catch up with colleagues.
This year’s theme is “Where the Jobs Are: Mapping the Expanding Universe of Animation Employment.” The highlight of the afternoon will be a panel discussion on prominent employment trends, featuring acclaimed writer-director Jorge R. Gutiérrez; Animation Guild director of communications and culture Brooke Keesling; animator and character designer Tony Bancroft; and story-artist Ennio Torreson.
The AEF also will review its activity in 2017, with exciting presentations from past student scholarship winners. More information about the scholarship and a link to the online application site can be found here.
The meeting will be held in Hulett Hall, on the second floor of The Animation Guild, located at 1105 N. Hollywood Way, Burbank, CA 91505. Lunch will be served and admission is free.
