Arena Adds Animation Diploma

To meet the growing requirements of the animation industry, Arena Multimedia, a division of Aptech, has introduced a diploma in Animation Engineering. The course is designed to teach students animation techniques, keeping in mind the requirements and standards of the industry.

"If you observe the industry trends lately you will notice that animation is the next big thing. However, there were no courses to train the students in traditional hand animation techniques, which is the foundation of animation. We have incorporated this, apart from the advanced techniques, in this course," said Monali Jadhav, the manager of an Arena Multimedia center in Mumbai.

"Animation studios have particular requirements, according to which the training materials have been designed. It will train the student right from basic hand-drawn animation techniques to being a professional animator," said Jadhav.

The course also includes training in Maya. As part of the last semester (5th semester) of the two-and-half year course, the students will be required to make a demo reel to assist them in acquiring a job. The institute will also provide placement assistance.

Arena Multimedia is a Pakistan-based training institute offering education in multimedia applications and software. For more information, visit www.arena-multimedia.com.
