Anzovin Studio Introduces The Setup Machine For Maya

Anzovin Studio has introduced The Setup Machine for Maya, a new character rigging plug-in for Alias|Wavefront's Maya. The Setup Machine for Maya, newest member of The Setup Machine family of cross-platform animation utilities, enables Maya users to rig a wide variety of CG characters including humans, animals, insects and fantasy creatures that would be difficult and tedious to set up by hand. The Setup Machine for Maya feature list includes: automated rigging; direct animation controls; auto knee and elbow pointing; vertical and horizontal spines; separate FK/IK switches for each arm; custom quadruped leg; and accurate tail/tentacle rig. The Setup Machine for Maya installs the same rig used in versions of The Setup Machine for other 3D environments, including Hash's Animation:Master (released in November 2001) and NewTek's Lightwave 3D (forthcoming). The plug-in requires Maya 4.0 running in Windows NT/2000/XP and is available now at an introductory retail price of $299, rising to $399 on January 1, 2003.
