Fifty-three short films have been selected to screen at Annecy 2015 -- with 30 percent of them made by women -- including 10 films competing in the Off-Limits category and 33 out of competition.

Organizers of the 2015 Annecy International Animated Film Festival have unveiled the official selections of shorts, graduation films, commissioned and TV films set to screen at this year’s edition of the Festival.

Setting a new record, this year the Festival received over 2,600 films, coming from 95 countries.

The Official Selection will be presenting 53 short films in competition (30 percent of them made by women) including 10 films competing in the Off-Limits category and 33 out of competition. Shorts from France, Germany and Canada are the most represented in this category. There are also 49 graduation films (50 percent made by women) and 64 TV and commissioned films. 40 nationalities will be represented.

The Annecy Festival Official Selection process is carried out by Laurent Million, Yves Nougarède and Sébastien Sperer, from the Films & Programme Planning department at CITIA and Festival Artistic Director, Marcel Jean.

The Official Selection for feature films in and out of competition will be announced at the end of April.
