Netflix’s Emmy-winning ‘BoJack Horseman’ episode, ‘Fish Out of Water,’ U.K. series ‘Lilly’s Driftwood Bay,’ and Ireland’s ‘Puffin Rock’ among official selections at this year’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival.

On the heels of the recent announcement of the 87 Short Films and 49 Graduation Films selected to compete at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, organizers have now unveiled this year’s television and commercial selections.

Thirty-one TV series & specials have been selected to compete at Annecy 2017, including Netflix’s Emmy-winning BoJack Horseman episode, “Fish Out of Water,” the U.K. series Lilly’s Driftwood Bay, and Ireland’s Puffin Rock. Other TV contenders include Cartoon Network’s Clarence, the U.K.’s Revolting Rhymes and Nickelodeon’s The Loud House.

Forty commissioned films were selected to compete, including the Holland Animation Film Festival 2017 signal film, Honda “Ridgeline” from Oscar-nominated animator PES, and the animated sequences for Roger Ross Williams’s documentary feature, Life Animated. U.K. animator Peter Sluszka’s PSA campaign “Little Lungs” is also competing alongside the music video for Moby’s “Are You Lost In The World Like Me?” and Katie Melua “Perfect World.”

The Official Selection of the Feature Films in and out of Competition will be announced in late April. The full list of selections can be viewed on the Annecy website.
