Animusic, a computer animation company with the singular focus of animating music, announced that production has started on ANIMUSIC 3.

Animusic is an independent entertainment company specializing in the production of DVD "video albums." Both music and visuals are entirely digitally synthesized. Animusic “invents” imaginary Virtual Instruments by building computer graphics models of objects that appear to create the sound of the corresponding synthesized music track.

Animusic has already released the ANIMUSIC 1 (DVD), ANIMUSIC 2 (DVD), ANIMUSIC HD (Blu-ray), and a localized version of ANIMUSIC 2 (DVD) for the Japanese market.

For the last few years, Animusic founder Wayne Lytle has been working to rebuild the entire Animusic production studio from the ground up. The rebuilding includes hundreds of hours spent writing code for the in-house software system. The result is a software tool and system of production that is probably unique to this planet.

All along the way the team has continued to design and create hundreds of interchangeable instrument components, hundreds of sketches, countless mini tests, robots, and stage parts. From March thru May, Wayne produced a full album of digital music that will be the soul of ANIMUSIC 3.

“Everyone at Blue Man Group loves Animusic,” says Blue Man Group’s Chris Wink. “The more we learn about the digital world, the more we are positively blown away by how good they are at what they do.  But my kids don’t care that Animusic has invented an ingenious new way to create animation that’s driven from MIDI-based music. They just think it’s incredibly cool. And I couldn’t agree more. So let’s all be selfish and support Animusic so we can all see what kind of crazy cool stuff they’ll do next!"

In support of the completion of ANIMUSIC 3, a Kickstarter campaign has been launched, and is on its way to reaching its goal of $200K with donations totaling over $148,000 and counting. To learn more about ANIMUSIC 3, visit Animusic on Facebook.
