The University of Teesside and the Animex Animation Festival have issued a second call for entries to the Animex Student Animation Awards, which are due August 1, 2003. The awards are dedicated to promoting the art of animation and recognizing student excellence in computer animation and other techniques. Winners will be chosen in nine categories, and an Audience Award will also be presented. Any frame-by-frame or computer-assisted animated film or video produced as a student work from January 1, 2002 to July 31, 2003, is eligible for entry. The competition is free to enter and open to all international applicants. Winners of the awards will be announced at the Animex festival in January 2004.
