His most recent interview is Episode 69: How Jackie Davis Quit Her Job to Make Webcomics For A Living (Underpants & Overbites)

This podcast features Jackie Davis, the webcomic artist behind Underpants and Overbites, a watercolor diary comic all about her “often funny, but occasionally serious tiny human life in Rochester, New York.” Frequent themes and characters include her relationship with her husband Pat (aka The Purple Guy), childhood memories, mental health, anxiety, and just how confusing life as a human on this planet can be. In this chat, she shares how she figured out how to make a sustainable income off webcomics.

Check out Ibele and Davis to learn:

  • The not-so-talked about details of what quitting your job to pursue your passion is actually like
  • How Jackie deals with self-doubt
  • How Jackie smashed the perfectionist attitude while still making great art

In 2018, Ibele, who lives in Toronto, decided to quit his career as a Marketer and pursue his love for animation. Since then, he’s become well known for his viral animation productions, which include the previously mentioned Silly Duck Wizard, which is how AWN first came to know him and his work.
