Animation Dynamics Adds Hollywood Veteran as 3D Technical Director

Animation Dynamics Inc. (ADi) announced today that Nick Nakadate, an animator with extensive feature film and TV commercial experience, has joined the company as 3D Technical Director.

Portland, Oregon - August 16, 2010 - Animation Dynamics Inc. (ADi) announced today that Nick Nakadate, an animator with extensive feature film and TV commercial experience, has joined the company as 3D Technical Director. In this role, Nick will be primarily responsible for the post-production 3D process, including texturing, lighting and stylizing objects and scenes. He will also be actively involved in developing photo-real visual effects.

Nick's strong background in 3D combined with his experience in feature film VFX means that he will be a valuable asset across a wide variety of accounts and projects."

Nick has more than 17 years of experience in computer generated visual effects and animation.  His background in 3D includes numerous TV commercials and feature film projects such as Superman Returns, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Sin City, Shark Boy and Lava Girl 3-D, Ironman, and The Day after Tomorrow. His diverse background includes lighting and rendering with multiple engines, particle effects, paint and compositing, 3D modeling and technical animation. He holds a Bachelors degree in Architecture from Iowa State University and his knowledge of CAD design and processes has proven to be an asset for design visualization. When not working Nick likes cycling and BBQ.
