The ‘Resident Evil: Vendetta’ sequel features a rescue mission led by Leon S. Kennedy, and a zombie-filled caper to Alcatraz Island.
The next installment of the Resident Evil 3DCG animated film saga is almost here! Resident Evil: Death Island serves as a direct sequel to Resident Evil: Vendetta (2017), as well as a continuation of the story lines established by Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008) and Resident Evil: Damnation (2012).
In the film, D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers, when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. Meanwhile, B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all visited Alcatraz Island recently. Following that clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them.

While a voice cast has not been officially announced, it would be fair to assume the voice talents from the previous films, including Matthew Mercer as Leon S. Kennedy and Kevin Dorman as Chris Redfield, with make a return.
Death Island is directed by Eiichiro Hasumi (Assassination Classroom), with a screenplay by Makoto Fukami (Psycho-Pass) in collaboration with Capcom, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, and Japanese production studio TMS Entertainment.
