Animated Feature ‘A Greyhound of a Girl’ Now Available On-Demand

The film, based on Roddy Doyle's acclaimed book about an 11-year-old girl who dreams of becoming a great chef, stars Brendan Gleeson and Sharon Horgan.

The animated feature A Greyhound Of A Girl, which premiered at the 2023 Berlin Film Festival, is now available On-Demand.

Enzo D'Alo directs from a script co-written by D’Alo and Dave Ingham. The film stars Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin, Suffragette, Calvary); Rosaleen Linehan (Dancing At Lughnasa, The Matchmaker); Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters, Shining Vale); Charlene McKenna (Breakfast On Pluto, Peaky Blinders); and Mia O'Connor.

“This was a lovely script, cheeky and magical with love glistening through it,” said Gleeson. “It was great to be a part of and fun to do.”

Based on Roddy Doyle's acclaimed book, the film tells the story of 11-year-old Mary, who has an insatiable passion for cooking and dreams of becoming a great chef. Her grandmother Emer encourages her to make this dream come true, but every path has its obstacles. In this delicate coming-of-age story, four generations of women head off on a glorious journey together.

Adrien Chef and Paul Thiltges produce. Animation is by Iulian Grigoriu. A Greyhound of a Girl is a co-producton between Paul Thiltges Distributions, Aliante, Jam Media, Goag Productions, Rija Films, Amrion Production, and Fish Blowing Bubbles, in association with GFM Animation.
