Submissions due by July 20 for the 11th International Animation Festival of Pernambuco in Brazil coming October 8-17; event will be held in person and online.
Brazil’s Animage – 11th International Animation Festival of Pernambuco, set for October 8-17 both online and in person, will feature a program that includes competitive screening sessions, special screenings of feature and short films, masterclasses, talks, and workshops for children, beginners, and professionals.
Submissions are now open for the short film competition; the entry deadline is July 20. Enter your films here.
Selections will be made by the festival’s curator staff. The event presents awards in the following categories:
- Best Short Film (cash prize of R$ 4,000.00)
- Best Children's Short
- Best Brazilian Short
- Audience Award
- Best Direction
- Best Screenplay
- Best Art Direction
- Best Animation Technique
- Best Sound Mixing.
The short films submitted in 2020, whose competitive screening could not be held due to the Covid-19 pandemic, are already being considered by the curatorship and do not need to be submitted again.
