Animafest Zagreb Announces Initial Selections for 2019 Competition

Forty-six shorts selected from a total of 1,800 submissions from 86 countries to compete in the Short Film Grand Competition at the Animafest Zagreb World Festival of Animated Film.

Sophie Koko Gate’s ‘Slug Life’ is among 46 short films competing at this year’s Animafest Zagreb.

The Animafest Zagreb World Festival of Animated Film have announced the selections for this year’s Short Films, Croatian and Student Film competitions. This year’s edition runs June 3-8 in Zagreb, Croatia.

Out of a total of 1,800 submissions from 86 countries around the world, 46 projects were selected to compete in Short Film Competition, with 47 projects selected for the Student Film Competition, and an additional 20 shorts selected for the Croatian Film Competition.

Selection results for the Grand Competition -- Feature Films, Films for Children Competition, and World Panorama will be announced soon.
