Amazon Studios Signs Linear Broadcast Deal with Zodiak Kids

Deal calls for global representation of 17 original kids’ series and specials currently streaming on Prime Video.

LONDON -- Banijay Group’s Zodiak Kids has inked a deal to distribute 17 original children’s series and specials from Amazon Studios -- Zodiak Kids will represent linear broadcasting rights for Amazon Studios content globally while all series continue to air on Amazon Prime Video across the globe.

The series include; animated preschool series Tumble Leaf, Creative Galaxy, The Stinky and Dirty Show!, If You Give a Mouse A Cookie, Little Big Awesome and Wishenpoof, animated series Niko and the Sword of Light and Lost in Oz, and live-action series Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street, The Kicks and four American Girl specials.

The deal also includes Prime Video Christmas specials; The Snowy Day, based on the award-winning book by Ezra Jack Keats, Click, Clack Moo: Christmas at the Farm, and If You Give a Mouse a Christmas Cookie.

Zodiak Kids has previously represented Tumble Leaf, Creative Galaxy and Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street, with sales deals being secured with broadcasters such as ABC Australia, Knowledge Network and DHX (Canada), Thai PBS, Mediacorp (Singapore) and ITI Neovision (Poland).

Delphine Dumont, Zodiak Kids’ SVP of sales, acquisitions and co-productions, said, “We are delighted to be working with Amazon to further expand the availability of these exciting high-quality productions.  With a wealth of genres and a range of properties appealing to all ages from preschoolers to teenagers, we anticipate a high level of demand for these series and specials.”

At the upcoming MIPCOM market, Zodiak Kids will be at stand C20.A, where they will be showcasing the Amazon Prime originals library alongside their catalog of other programming. The series can all be screened at MIPJunior.
