Alice In Wonderland Makes IMAX $60M Worldwide

IMAX Corporation (Nasdaq:IMAX) (TSX:IMX) today announced that Alice in Wonderland, directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Mia Wasikowska, has generated more than $60 million globally in box office revenues, including more than $37.6 million domestically and $22.5 million internationally.

LOS ANGELES, May 5, 2010 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) --IMAX Corporation (Nasdaq:IMAX) (TSX:IMX) today announced that Alice in Wonderland, directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Mia Wasikowska, has generated more than $60 million globally in box office revenues, including more than $37.6 million domestically and $22.5 million internationally. IMAX(R) theatres posted a domestic per screen average of $200,000 and an international per screen average of approximately $252,500. Alice in Wonderland is in the early part of its run in several international markets, including Japan, where the film grossed nearly $2 million in 17 days in four IMAX theatres.
