Akkord Film Taps Angela Poschet to Oversee Production Work

Production supervisor on Wes Anderson’s ‘Isle of Dogs’ brings her wealth of experience to leading German animation studio.

German animation producer Akkord Film has announced that Angela Poschet has been brought on to oversee all physical production work for the company. Poschet is known for her recent work as production supervisor on Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs as well her work on the production team of Jan Lachauer, Jakob Schuh and Bin-Han To’s Revolting Rhymes. Both films were nominated for an Academy Award. Porschet also supervised Maya the Bee for German studio M.A.R.K. 13 and worked on Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie.

Dirk Beinhold, Akkord’s CEO, commented, “We are humbled by Angela’s production credits and proud to have her on board for our expanding international productions in the coming years.”

Poschet added, “After years of commuting between Germany and London, I look forward to new challenges with the ambitious Akkord Film team in my home town, Berlin.”

Akkord, one of Germany’s leaders in animation production, just completed its 3rd 2D feature film, Raven the Little Rascal – Hunt for The Lost Treasure (sold by Beta Film) and is in the final works of the much-anticipated CG-animated feature film The Elfkins – Baking A Difference (sold by SOLA Media). Akkord is also producing the series The Elfkins – Baking A Difference with ZDF, SERU Film and French producer 2 Minutes (sold by Global Screen). Akkord is also prepping, with Austrian studio arx anima, its next CG feature film, Rabbit Academy, which saw its first installment, Rabbit School, premiere at the Berlin Film Festival’s Generation+ and at TIFF 2017.
