4Kids Completes Broadcast Deals For Dinosaur King At MIP-TV

(NYSE: KDE), the diversified children’s entertainment and media organization, has signed two key broadcast agreements for the popular animated series “Dinosaur King” at the just concluded MIP-TV market in Cannes, it was announced today by Brian Lacey, Executive Vice President, International, 4Kids Entertainment.

NEW YORK (May 5, 2010)  –  4Kids Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: KDE), the diversified children’s entertainment and media organization, has signed two key broadcast agreements for the popular animated series “Dinosaur King” at the just concluded MIP-TV market in Cannes, it was announced today by Brian Lacey, Executive Vice President, International, 4Kids Entertainment.

Turner Spain has signed on for the full “Dinosaur King” series run, while in the UK, GMTV has pacted for Season Two of the kids’ fantasy adventure show.

The addition of Spain completes the list of major European free and pay TV networks now airing “Dinosaur King” and brings the total number of markets licensed to over 90 countries.  

In the United States, “Dinosaur King” airs in TheCW4Kids Saturday morning block on The CW Television Network.  Additionally, the series is also available for VOD viewing on the Comcast, Cox and Bresnan cable systems.

International broadcasters of the “Dinosaur King” series also include Lagardère Network’s Gulli TV and Canal J (France); BOING, the Turner kid block aired on Telecinco and Factoria de Ficcion as well as Disney XD (Spain); Network Ten (Australia) and Rede TV (Brazil); YTV (Canada); RTE (Ireland); LNK (Lithuania); Mediaset (Italy); RTL2 (Germany); Televisa (Mexico); Disney XD (UK, Netherlands, Latin America, Scandinavia); MTV3 (Finland); TV2 (Denmark); TV4 (Sweden); TVI (Portugal); Animax (Central & Eastern Europe) and MNET (South Africa).

Based on a popular international arcade and collectable card game from SEGA, “Dinosaur King” chronicles the spellbinding adventures of Max, Rex and Zoe, known as the D Team, who race around the world to uncover secrets that bring dinosaurs back to life.  The biggest challenge for the three young heroes in this unforgettable race is to find all the dinosaur cards before they are found by the nefarious Alpha Gang.  Set in the present time, Max, Rex and Zoe are able to transport themselves anywhere in the world to hunt down the coveted cards that have been lost by the time-traveling Dr. Z and his bumbling team of bad guys.
