New York, NY -- 4K Media Inc., the Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. subsidiary that manages the licensing and marketing of the ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ brand, announced that it entered into a licensing agreement with Bioworld Merchandising, a leading U.S. design and distribution company.  Under the agreement, Bioworld has the right to feature the animated imagery from each of the popular ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ series on a variety of apparel and accessory products.  The agreement was announced by Jennifer Coleman, vice president of licensing and marketing for 4K Media Inc., and Beth Taylor, director of licensing for Bioworld Merchandising.

“Bioworld offers a unique mix of creative product design paired with merchandising expertise that we believe will result in innovative products that incorporate the spirit of each of the distinct ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ series,” explained 4K Media’s Coleman. “Bioworld’s team impressed us with their insight into retail markets, contemporary culture and the consumer’s response to our brand to date. We are looking forward to working with them on bringing these unique concepts to market here in the U.S. and Canada.”

Bioworld Merchandising will develop a broad range of ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ inspired merchandise across multiple consumer product lines, including headwear, bags, sleepwear and underwear, hosiery, casual footwear, small accessories, electronics accessories, fleece throws and tumblers.

“Our design team believes in bringing innovative product collections to retail that resonate with the core fan and builds the brand,” added Bioworld’s Beth Taylor. “We love what we do and our goal is to bring pop culture to life.”

Bioworld designed products will feature artwork from each of the ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ animated series, including the new Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V, Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and Yu-Gi-Oh!, the series that launched the franchise over a decade ago.  Products will be introduced through specialty, mid-tier, mass and department stores throughout the United States and Canada in fall 2015, just in time for holiday shoppers.
