20th Century Studios Drops New ‘The Bob’s Burgers Movie’ Trailer

Upcoming animated feature, based on the hilarious TV series, sees the Belcher family meet new challenges while sinking… literally; see them fight back when they hit theaters nationwide May 27.

20th Century Studios has just released another new trailer for The Bob’s Burgers Movie, which opens in U.S. theaters on May 27, 2022. The trailer debuted at WonderCon in Anaheim, California, where it was screened along with other footage from the film at a panel presentation with the filmmakers and cast.

The Bob’s Burgers Movie is an animated, big-screen, musical comedy-mystery-adventure based on creator Loren Bouchard’s multiple Emmy Award-winning hit FOX series. In the film, the story begins when a ruptured water main creates an enormous sinkhole right in front of Bob's Burgers, blocking the entrance indefinitely and ruining the Belchers’ plans for a successful summer. While Bob and Linda struggle to keep the business afloat, the kids try to solve a mystery that could save their family's restaurant. As the dangers mount, these underdogs help each other find hope and fight to get back behind the counter, where they belong.

The film stars the voice talents of Kristen Schaal; H. Jon Benjamin; John Roberts; Dan Mintz; Eugene Mirman; Larry Murphy; Zach Galifianakis; and Kevin Kline. Series producer Bernard Derriman directs along with Bouchard as co-director. The screenplay was written by Bouchard & Nora Smith, who also produce, along with Janelle Momary.

Now in its 12th season, Bob’s Burgers shares the many hilarious adventures of the Belcher family, led by parents Bob and Linda, who with their three children, Tina, Gene, and Louise, run a hamburger restaurant. After a slow start with critics and fans, the show has gathered a significant following and is consistently named in discussions of the best animated series on TV.
