Bob, Linda, Tina, Gene, and Louise expand their comedic horizons - and our sense of joy - on May 27, as Loren Bouchard’s Emmy Award-winning hit animated comedy makes the jump to the big screen.

20th Century Studios has just released a trailer, poster, and images for its upcoming animated feature, The Bob’s Burger Movie, which hits U.S. theaters on May 27. File this film under the Dept. of Can’t Wait!

The Bob’s Burgers Movie, based on creator Loren Bouchard’s multiple Emmy Award-winning hit FOX series, is billed as an animated, big-screen, musical comedy-mystery-adventure. The story begins when a ruptured water main creates an enormous sinkhole right in front of Bob's Burgers, blocking the entrance indefinitely and ruining the Belchers’ plans for a successful summer. While Bob and Linda struggle to keep the business afloat, the kids try to solve a mystery that could save their family's restaurant. As the dangers mount, these underdogs help each other find hope and fight to get back behind the counter, where they belong.

Get ready to whet your appetites:

The film stars the voice talents of Kristen Schaal; H. Jon Benjamin; John Roberts; Dan Mintz; Eugene Mirman; Larry Murphy; Zach Galifianakis; Kevin Kline; and David Wain. Series producer Bernard Derriman directs along with Bouchard as co-director. The screenplay was written by Bouchard & Nora Smith, who also produce, along with Janelle Momary.

Now in its 12th season, Bob’s Burgers shares the many hilarious adventures of the Belcher family, led by parents Bob and Linda, who with their three children, Tina, Gene, and Louise, run a hamburger restaurant. After a slow start with critics and fans, the show has gathered a significant following and is consistently named in discussions of the best animated series on TV.
