2012 Rages to Top of Box Office

Overture's THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS came in #3 for its second week, earning $6.2 million. Jumping from #12 its first week to #4, PRECIOUS: BASED ON THE NOVEL PUSH BY SAPPHIRE raked in $6 million for Lionsgate.

MICHAEL JACKSON'S THIS IS IT came in at #5 for Sony in its third weekend, earning $5.1 million. THE FOURTH KIND from Universal earned $4.7 million and the #6 spot in its second week. 

COUPLES RETREAT raked in $4.3 million for Universal and the #7 spot.

Paramount's PARANORMAL ACTIVITY came in #8 and earned $4.2 million. Overture's LAW ABIDING CITIZEN earned $3.9 million and the #9 spot.

Rounding out the top ten, THE BOX from Warner Bros. earned $3.2 million.

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE brought in $2.4 million at #12 for Warner Bros. ASTRO BOY from Summit earned $1.7 million.
