Kids entertainment veterans Wendy Moss-Klein and Nancy Steingard have just formed 2 Friends Entertainment, a multimedia company in Los Angeles to produce childrens programming. Concurrently, 2 Friends Entertainment has acquired rights to existing, successful childrens properties, including HARRIET THE SPY and original properties, such as BABY SPROUT, and aims to produced content for television, DVDs, movies and the Internet for children from infancy to 12 years old.

Moss-Klein was one of the original partners and svp of Sony Wonder, a childrens and family music, video, television and Internet production and distribution company under Sony Music. She went on to serve as svp/gm of Hanna-Barbera Home Video.

Steingard most recently served as svp of creative development for Sesame Workshop. Prior to that, she had a long stint as evp for Universal Family and Home Entertainment, where she oversaw all childrens and family television.

2 Friends Ent. is developing projects based on the following acquired properties:

High quality childrens programming has been our lifes passion, said Moss-Klein. Its a wonderful feeling to have the opportunity to use our experience and countless contacts in television, video, music and toys, combined with our two decades of friendship, under the banner of 2 Friends Entertainment.

Wendy and I have been fortunate to be able to select material that is fun to develop and has garnered such interest in the marketplace, said Steingard. We have identified wonderful partners who are every bit as committed as we are to creating meaningful programming that can entertain, inspire and delight kids.

Steingard and Moss-Klein believe in giving back both artistically and financially, and plan to donate a percentage of 2 Friends Ent. profits to various childrens charities.

Friends and colleagues for two decades, Steingard and Moss-Klein began their relationship when they created and co-founded Hi-Tops Video, overseeing the acquisition, production, branding, marketing, distribution, promotion and public relations campaigns for BABY SONGS, MADELINE, TEDDY RUXPIN and BARBIE video products. Hi Tops Video was sold to Golden Books/Western Publishing.

Steingard and Moss-Klein are both active in the non-profit world, with Steingard currently in her third term as governor of the Childrens Programming Peer Group for the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and Moss-Klein serving as chairman of the board of the Zimmer Childrens Museum.
