The 10th annual event, running September 23 – October 2, celebrates emerging filmmakers from around the world; animated screenings will be featured throughout the event will an all-animation matinee on September 27.
Running September 23 – October, the 10th Annual Winter Film Awards International Film Festival will include an impressive slate of film screenings, discussion panels, career-building professional development workshops and parties at venues throughout NYC.
The fest celebrates the outstanding work of emerging filmmakers in all genres from around the world, with an emphasis on underrepresented and marginalized artists. The 2021 lineup includes 91 films from 28 countries; half of the films were created by women, with 53% were created by or about people of color.
Spotlight on Animated Films from Around the World
13 animated films from around the world will be screened throughout the week with an all-animation matinee on September 27. All screenings take place at Cinema Village, 22 East 12th Street, New York NY 10003.
