The National Film Board of Canada boasts 4 short films in competition, including Torill Kove’s ‘Maybe Elephants’ and Michèle Lemieux’s latest pinscreen effort, ‘Le tableau,’ alongside ‘Miserable Miracle’ and ‘Corpus and the Wandering,’ as well as a tribute to Portuguese animation with a program of films by Regina Pessoa; Annecy 2024 runs June 9-15.
The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) returns to this year’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival with a diverse lineup of 11 productions and co-productions, screening across a range of sections at the event. Four films are official selections for competitions, including Torill Kove’s Maybe Elephants (Mikrofilm/NFB), where it will have its world premiere screening. In addition, Michèle Lemieux will present her latest short, Le tableau (The Painting). The festival runs June 9-15

Honorary Cristal:
- Canadian filmmaker Pierre Hébert is to be honored for his 60-year career, including 35 years with the NFB.
